Location: Kansas City, KS (working in the Kansas City, Kansas area)

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $32–$36 per hour (DOE)

Per Diem: $90 per day (must meet requirements)

Schedule: 55–65 hours per week, most Saturdays required


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Millwright Supervisor / Superintendent to lead industrial maintenance and installation projects in the Kansas City, Kansas area. This role is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating daily work activities, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope. The ideal candidate combines strong technical millwright expertise with proven leadership and project coordination experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead millwright crews performing installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily work activities to meet production and project deadlines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to direct work accurately
  • Oversee troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Enforce safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company procedures on all job sites
  • Coordinate with project managers, plant personnel, and other trades to ensure smooth operations
  • Track labor, materials, and equipment to maintain productivity and cost control
  • Conduct job-site meetings, safety briefings, and progress updates
  • Ensure quality standards and workmanship are consistently met

Supervisor / Superintendent Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industrial millwright experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong background in industrial equipment installation, alignment, maintenance, and repair
  • Proven ability to lead crews, assign tasks, and maintain productivity
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience coordinating manpower, tools, and materials on industrial projects
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Physically capable of performing field oversight and occasional hands-on work
  • OSHA 10 certification (required)
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screening
