Job Title: Millwright
? Location: Kansas City, KS (working in the Kansas City area)
? Job Type: Full-Time
? Pay Rate: $28–$32 per hour (DOE)
? Per Diem: $90 per day (must meet requirements)
⏱ Schedule: 55–65 hours per week, some Saturdays required
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Millwright to join our team in the Kansas City area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for machinery installation, maintenance, and repair
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools
- Perform routine maintenance, including equipment alignment, calibration, and inspections
- Assist with machinery setup, breakdowns, and relocations as needed
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects on schedule
- Work flexible hours, including overtime, some Saturdays, and occasional holidays
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on experience
- OSHA 10 certification (required)
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Solid mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and performing demanding tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening
