Position: Mechanical Millwright

Location: Savannah, GA

Pay Rate: $32–$34 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: 40–55 hours per week, with overtime available


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Millwright to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems in a high-production manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform bolt-up assemblies, precision alignment, and calibration of machinery
  • Install, maintain, and repair production equipment including conveyors, presses, mixers, and related systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair components using hand tools, power tools, welding, and machining equipment
  • Support equipment start-up, commissioning, and system optimization
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection logs
  • Work closely with electricians, automation technicians, and engineers
  • Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process upgrades

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred)
  • Journeyman-level millwright experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Experience with bolt-up assemblies, conveyors, presses, mixers, and robotics
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Proficient with hand tools, precision instruments, and welding equipment
  • OSHA 10 Certification required
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
