Hourly Rate: $26 - $28 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to join our team in Peoria, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. Your work will ensure equipment runs efficiently and safely, including reading blueprints, interpreting layouts, and using a variety of tools to assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, installation manuals, and other schematics to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantle machinery using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and crowbars.
  • Move equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
  • Assemble and install equipment like conveyors, rollers, and tram rails using cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Construct foundations for machines using wood, cement, and steel materials.
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
  • Perform optical and laser alignments to ensure precision installation and operation.
  • Bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten machinery to foundations or other structures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Operate engine lathes to modify or create machine parts to precise specifications.
  • Install and program industrial robots, using teach pendants for program modifications.
  • Use transit and leveling tools to set equipment accurately.
  • Transport materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to work sites.
  • Perform routine lubricating maintenance and repairs on machines and tools.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and project rules, and perform other duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • Work with precision and maintain high standards of accuracy.
  • Apply shop mathematics to solve problems effectively.
  • Use logical, step-by-step methods for tasks and planning.
  • Select and utilize the correct tools for each job.
  • Differentiate between sizes, shapes, and forms of objects from drawings or diagrams.
  • Visualize three-dimensional objects based on blueprints and layouts.
  • Operate machinery and perform tasks confidently at heights.
  • Adapt to performing a variety of duties, which may change frequently based on the job.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle tools and machinery.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual demands include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard tools and mechanical concepts.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively under supervision.
