Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a working knowledge of electrical systems to support the day-to-day maintenance of our facility and equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities, basic electrical repair knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, HVAC, and facility equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns, component failures, and system malfunctions
  • Conduct basic electrical work such as replacing sensors, motors, fuses, switches, and wiring under supervision or within safe voltage ranges
  • Assist with equipment installations and facility improvements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work orders
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and parts inventory
  • Follow safety procedures and participate in ongoing safety training

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial setting
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with electrical tools and safety practices
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions
  • Willingness to be on-call or work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PLCs, control systems, or industrial automation
  • OSHA safety training or other relevant certifications
  • Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
