Pay Rate: $32-$36 per hour DOE + $100 per day per diem ($160 when traveling outside of Indianapolis)

Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Pipefitters with at least five (5) years of experience fitting stainless steel pipes for TIG welders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting P&ID’s, isometric drawings, and spool sheets to plan, fabricate, and install piping systems. Industrial or petrochemical experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and understand P&ID’s and isometric drawings to determine the scope of work, materials, and dimensions required.
- Layout, fabricate, and install pipe spools from spool sheets.
- Flame cut pipe to length, bevel, and clean pipes in preparation for fit-up.
- Perform pipe layout, rigging, and transportation of pipe, valves, and fittings.
- Thread pipe using a threading machine and bend pipe by hand or with tools.
- Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and coordinate with other workers.
- Use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks.
- Hoist equipment and tools into position using bull rigging or a crane, utilizing proper hand signals with heavy equipment operators.
- Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Properly test piping systems for leaks using hydro-testing equipment.
- Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.
- Help maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fitting stainless steel pipe for TIG welders.
- Minimum of 3 years pipefitting experience in an industrial or petrochemical setting.
- NCCER certification is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID’s, isometric drawings, and spool sheets.
- Knowledge of industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
- May be required to pass a craft test.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $32-$36 per hour, depending on experience.
- Per Diem: $100 per day for local work. $160 per day when traveling outside of the Indianapolis area (paid out for 7 days a week).
