Job Description

Position: Ironworker

Location: Savannah, Georgia, United States

Pay: $28–$32 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 45–55 hours per week, with some Saturdays


Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of ironworking tasks including erecting structural steel, installing precast concrete panels, and assembling metal buildings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
  • Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fabricate metal components.
  • Operate machinery such as cranes and hoists to position and lift steel components into place.
  • Install rigging systems and hoisting equipment to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA standards to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Collaborate with other members of the construction team to complete projects on schedule and within budget.



Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Ironworker.
  • Proficiency in metal building erection and rigging operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of steel construction methods and materials.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must have OSHA 10 or higher certification.
