Job Description
Job Title: Iron Worker / Welder
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Pay Rate: $28–$32 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 45–55 hours per week, with overtime available
Per Diem: $100.00 per day worked (must meet eligibility requirements)
Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Iron Workers/Welders to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves the fabrication, installation, and repair of structural steel components while maintaining strict adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Set up hoisting and rigging equipment to lift and position structural steel members.
- Attach steel components to hoists using chains, cables, or ropes.
- Signal crane or hoist operators to ensure safe lifting and placement.
- Guide steel members into position using tag lines and hand tools.
- Align, bolt, and temporarily secure components with spud wrenches, drift pins, and related tools.
- Verify vertical and horizontal alignment using levels, plumb bobs, and measuring tools.
- Bolt or weld steel components to permanently secure structures.
- Perform cutting and welding operations using oxyacetylene and related equipment.
- Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
- Assist with placement, positioning, and securing of steel during installation.
- Maintain tools and equipment, performing minor repairs and cleaning as needed.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- OSHA 10 or higher certification required
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- High level of precision with strong attention to detail
- Solid understanding of basic rigging principles and shop mathematics
- Skilled in selecting and using proper tools, equipment, and materials
- Ability to distinguish differences in size, shape, and form
- Must meet company quality requirements to receive per diem
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively within a team
