Job Description
Position: Ironworker
Location: Memphis, Tennessee, United States
Pay: $28–$32 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 45–55 hours per week, with some Saturdays
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ironworking tasks including erecting structural steel, installing precast concrete panels, and assembling metal buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fabricate metal components.
- Operate machinery such as cranes and hoists to position and lift steel components into place.
- Install rigging systems and hoisting equipment to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA standards to maintain a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with other members of the construction team to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Ironworker.
- Proficiency in metal building erection and rigging operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of steel construction methods and materials.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Must have OSHA 10 or higher certification.
