We are seeking skilled Ironworkers and Welders for structural steel erection work in the Houston area. This role involves working at heights, rigging, welding, and installing structural steel components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Candidates must be able to read measurements, work efficiently as part of a crew, and maintain safe work practices at all times. Job Responsibilities
- Set up hoisting equipment, rigging, and lifting devices for structural steel
- Fasten steel members to hoist cables using chains, cables, or ropes
- Signal equipment operators to safely lift and position steel
- Use tag lines to guide steel members into proper placement
- Align and secure members using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools
- Align bolt holes and install temporary bolts or weld components in place
- Verify alignment using plumb bobs, levels, and measuring tools
- Perform cutting and welding using oxyacetylene and other welding equipment
- Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and job-related supplies
- Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
- Follow all job site safety rules and wear required PPE
- Carry out other tasks as assigned
Job Requirements
- Ability to work with precision and follow tight tolerances
- Ability to apply shop math for layout and fabrication
- Capable of planning work and selecting proper tools
- Able to identify differences in structural components
- Previous ironwork, welding, or structural steel experience preferred
- Must have tools of the trade and reliable transportation
- Must follow all job site safety and company policies
- Must meet per diem eligibility requirements
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- OSHA 10 or higher certification required
