Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay: $35–$38 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 40–50 hours per week, with some Saturdays

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our Chicago team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance within industrial settings. You will ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery critical to our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Repairs: Perform repairs on machinery, including mechanical components, electrical systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Machine Setup & Calibration: Set up and adjust machines according to production specifications, ensuring proper calibration and operation.
  • Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, integrating it into the production line efficiently.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed safely.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and provide support or training to other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred
  • 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical expertise
  • Proficiency reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical issues
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Experience in machine setup and calibration
  • Ability to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
  • OSHA 10 certification required
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen
