Job Description
Job Title: Lead HVAC Technician
Location: Atlanta, GA
Pay: $36 per hour
Hours: 40–50 hours per week
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Mechanic to oversee day-to-day HVAC operations.
You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and up to code. This role includes diagnosing system issues, mentoring junior technicians, and coordinating projects from start to finish.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HVAC experience, including commercial and/or industrial systems
- EPA Universal Certification (Required)
- HVAC/R trade school diploma or equivalent training
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and troubleshooting
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces if necessary
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
- Manage inventory and equipment on job sites
