Crane Operator – Jefferson, OH
Location: Jefferson, Ohio
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00–5:00, Saturdays 8:00–3:00
Pay Rate: $32–$38 per hour DOE
Per Diem: $110 per day (paid for all seven days with no tardiness or absenteeism)
Employment Type: Full-Time - (2 Month Project)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to safely and efficiently operate a 110‑ton (or similar) hydraulic/rough terrain crane, as well as an IC‑200 industrial carry deck crane. The ideal candidate will perform lifts, move heavy loads, rig equipment, conduct pre-lift inspections, and perform light equipment maintenance while working closely with rigging crews and site personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maneuver a 110‑ton hydraulic/RT crane and an IC‑200 carry deck crane following manufacturer load charts and lift plans.
- Conduct daily inspections of cranes and rigging gear (cables, slings, shackles, hooks, etc.).
- Verify load weights, ground conditions, and crane configurations (outriggers, boom length) for safe operations.
- Coordinate with riggers, signal persons, and site supervision to execute lifts per safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor mechanical checks (lubrication, fluids, greasing, etc.).
- Comply with OSHA, ASME, and company safety standards; attend safety meetings.
- Assist in crane assembly/disassembly as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area around the crane.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- NCCCO crane certification (or equivalent) for mobile/hydraulic/RT cranes.
- Proven experience operating hydraulic mobile or rough terrain cranes (~100‑ton+ class).
- Experience operating an IC‑200 or similar carry deck crane.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Valid crane license certificate.
- Ability to perform inspections, read load charts, and detect defects/malfunctions.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must pass drug screening and background checks.
- Clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with a 110‑ton rough terrain crane (e.g., Terex RT 110).
- Previous experience in heavy civil or industrial construction.
- Familiarity with hydraulic system maintenance and troubleshooting.
