Pay Range: $15 - $23 per hour (based on experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team in Ames, IA. This role involves working on both commercial and residential projects, supporting electricians with a variety of tasks to ensure that electrical installations are completed efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings.
  • Handle materials, tools, and equipment required for electrical work.
  • Prepare and clean job sites, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
  • Help in the installation of wiring, conduits, outlets, and fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot and identify issues in electrical systems as directed.
  • Work collaboratively with other construction team members to complete projects on time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
