Job Title: Apprentice Electrician

Location: Ames, IA 

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $16- $24

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Learn to read blueprints and electrical diagrams to assist in wiring and electrical installations.
• Follow safety protocols and electrical codes to ensure all work is done safely and efficiently.
• Help troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment under the guidance of a licensed electrician.
• Prepare and maintain materials, tools, and equipment for various electrical tasks.
• Assist with electrical inspections and ensure all installations meet regulatory standards.
• Continuously learn and grow in the electrical trade through on-the-job training and coursework.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of electrical coursework or vocational training is a plus.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in electrical work.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow directions.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols is preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
